Three years, four months and 5 days. So much time has passed since Porthos had last held Aramis in his arms, smelled the comforting mix of apple shampoo and aftershave. Nine months since he had last seen Aramis through a camera during one of their few Zoom Calls. Five months since he had last received any sort of communication from his fiancé, Porthos waited for Aramis to arrive with a flight from who knows where, a chocolate donut and cappuccino in a paper bag with him.

Elite Soldier Aramis returned from a secret misson, which had been going on for much longer than expected. Porthos didn't know what state Aramis would be in when he Returns.
While Aramis still struggled with what he had lived through, Porthos didn't know how to help him.

Wylan, Jesper, and Nina flee back to Ravka, but when the Wandering Isle closes its harbor and the Fjerdans threaten war, Nikolai needs a crew that can infiltrate Maroch Castle and gather information.
