Summary
"I get to use you to keep myself entertained however I want, and in return, I leave MK and his friends alone." Macaque said, his voice deceptively soft. No different than the tone one would use to soothe a scared animal.
Wukong had to keep himself from reacting harshly, as that’s what Macaque thrived off of. He kept his expression impassive, tone even and calm, even as he replied. "And if I say no?" Macaque hummed.
"Who knows?" Macaque's grin widened. "Maybe I'll go back to doing some good ol' scheming."

Summary
Myths surrounded the uncharted island to the west. It was said to hold a magic treasure, but sailors who tried to claim it rarely made it back. Those who did return spoke of a haunting song that lured them in, only to be followed by a violent storm. No accounts existed of anyone who had reached the shore and lived to tell the tale. The island's man-eating guardian rises from the depths to slaughter those who survive.
With nothing left to lose, Sun Wukong took on the challenge, but quickly failed. He found himself shipwrecked, and he realized that someone saved his life. Little did he know, his savior was not what he seemed.
When the Pirate King woke up, he came face-to-face with the source of the singing, a siren unlike any other. The guardian of the island, Tidesinger, whose real name was Macaque, was sharp-tongued and wickedly beautiful.
At first, it was a game of survival. Wukong flirted like his life depended on it, while Macaque decided whether this foolish pirate was worth the trouble of keeping alive.
But things soon turned into something far more dangerous. As Wukong unveiled the siren’s secrets, he realized he wasn’t just fighting for his own life, but for Macaque’s, too.

Summary
The city is safe once more. Lady Bone Demon has been defeated, and life is beginning to return to normal—or as normal as one can be in a world filled with demons and gods. Monkey King and MK are working on rebuilding their relationship to something deeper than just mentor and successor, aiming for a bond akin to a father and son. Trust and communication are the foundation of any strong relationship, yet the line between friends and enemies remains paper thin. Some bonds grow stronger over time, while others weaken. However, not everyone can change for the better. Not all bonds or relationships deserve a second chance. Certain obsessions run so deep that they can’t help but sink their dark tip claws into a still-beating golden heart, refusing to let go.
Shadows will always chase after light, even if the light slowly dims.
