Weeks ago, they were being systematically killed in the metaphorical and literal heat of battle, and when they died, there was much rejoicing. Now, most of them were having one-on-ones with the guidance counselor and are trying to figure out how to move on from being a group of villains moments away from helping destroy the world, to just being some lame, shitty, petty, dumb teenage students.
