In theory, they've got plans for this. Dan uses one of the escape routes, and leaves jack shit for anyone to find, anything the Federation could use to find them. Leaves nothing but a smoking crater.

Summary
Foolish and Bad talk a lot. Something I wrote to try to understand them both better, because they both bamboozle me personality-wise. I think it actually turned out a lot closer to how they talk than I expected it to, I wasn't expecting to actually come out the other side of this with something I felt was postable but here it is. Very much through a shippy lens.

Started this in 2020, went on a two year hiatus, trying to come back to it because I love what I had for it. If you're interested in chaos, poor sleep schedules, overworked teenagers and disillusionment arcs, this might be a fic for you.
Note: I am what's known as a Gardener style writer, which can be summarized as "Seeds are planted with care, but you can never know what an idea will look like once it's grown". I don't have a set outline for this fic and am exploring this story just as much as anyone who chooses to read this. Also note that I have a habit of accidentally growing my chatfics(this is my fourth attempt at one) into corners and having no way out, but that I have more writing experience now so hopefully that won't happen. But I wanted to make you aware of both of those factors anyways.
