Yoda’s foreboding words rang out through the Council chamber, and Dooku could see how Anakin trembled.
Never before had Dooku seen Skywalker as a boy, only a brash young man. This unassuming, malnourished waif was not who he was expecting.
But unexpected or not, the Force had granted him a second chance, and Dooku was loath to waste it.
“Master Yoda, Councilors, forgive the interruption, but I am compelled to intercede,” Dooku said, his head held high.

“No,” Anakin said. His voice was steady, with a cynical edge. “I think he’s ashamed of me for being me."

Obi-Wan overhears Ahsoka asking Anakin about his origins and can't quite ignore the temptation to stick around and listen to the remaining conversation. But Anakin's explanation of his life as a slave and then later a Jedi turns out to not be entirely accurate, and Obi-Wan is compelled to intercede.
