When a rare internship opportunity arrived from the Armed Detective Agency, Kaminari Denki was originally disinterested. After all, due to his performance in the Provisional License Exam, he had hundreds of other offers to sort through, offers from much more well-known and established agencies than the one based in a predominantly Quirkless city.
Then, he spotted it.

Attached to the bottom of the letter detailing his offer, there was a photo. It was identical to the one Denki had framed on his wall.

Summary
Billy Batson has been taking care of himself for a couple of years now and feels like he's doing pretty well at it. Sure, the foster families he's been stuck with whenever CPS catches him have been uniformly disappointing. And the Captain Marvel part of his life keeps creeping into more and more of his Billy Batson time. But overall, things are great! If only he hadn't had a little accident and wound up in the hospital just when some guy from Gotham who thinks he's Billy's father came looking for him, he'd be fine. And isn't that timing just a little bit suspicious? Sure, CPS seems to believe the man's story, but they don't have the best track record for placing Billy in safe homes. At least he knows how to make portals now. No one can keep him where he doesn't want to be!
Meanwhile, Bruce and Alfred are extremely pleased to have such a pleasant, polite child join the family. Except that he keeps winding up back in Fawcett City, and they can’t figure out how.- Language:

Like that explained how Tim left him tongue tied mere minutes ago.
Like that wasn't the most idiotic sentence to leave his mouth while decked out in his Dark Knight regalia.
Dick looked like Alfred had told him cereal was a totally acceptable breakfast food and that he'd stock the kitchen up with the most sugary kinds. Awed and disbelieving.
“A… magic baby.”

After realizing Tim, his new Robin, is the same kid that jumped off a building and poofed into thin air (escaping from THE Batman), Bruce is determined to prove the child has magic. There was no other explanation for that night otherwise.Tim and Billy have some thoughts on that.

As if he recognised Impulse’s apprehension, Skizz reduced his wide grin to a friendly smile. “I saw you when I walked in and thought all your piercings were super sick. And I didn’t know anyone, so I figured I may as well talk to someone new,” His wings shuddered slightly.“I hope that’s okay with you?”
Impulse was shocked at how friendly Skizz was. In the three years he had been at this high school and the many years of knowing some of the other students from grade school, no one had ever paid this much attention to him. “Oh, that’s nice of you to say, and yeah sure it’s fine,” he responded, hoping his pause wasn’t too noticeable.
“Okay, that’s great! See you around, homie!” Skizz chirped before picking up his bag and walking out of class, leaving Impulse there to contemplate what just happened to him.
