Nine helped, even when he himself was hurting. Nine forgave, even when nigh unforgiveable things had been done to him. Nine was good, and he shone brightly with his love for the world and all those in it. Nine laughed, and he was compassionate, and he inspired hope and change in everybody he crossed.He used to.
Nine had been.. taken.. from it.
It had witnessed death, of course it had. But this one, in particular, happened as it was coming into its own as an individual, and it was getting attached to this one.
It had imprinted, so to speak.It would not stand for this.
