Cassandra thought of Maddie again, and pictured her gorgeous face, and she finally came to the conclusion that any sane person would. Call 911 dispatch. She fished her phone out of her pants, and dialed 911. She put it on speaker phone as she opened up her texts with Dick to inform him of the new development.
“911, what’s your emergency?” A tinny male voice sounded over her speakers.
“My friend’s abusive ex attempted to stab me while I was walking to her house,” Cassandra intoned.

Sure, he may not exactly know his current location, but even the strangest parts of New York didn’t usually house men the size of freight trains lurking about in animal suits.
