Summary
"Egged her on, didn't you?" Solomon accused, wearing a thunderous scowl. Sebastian's eyes went wide in indignation, and he opened his mouth to retort before Anne interjected.
"Uncle, it was my fault, he tried to st-" Anne tried, but Solomon wasn't having any of it. He scoffed in disbelief, and his next words were tinged with bitterness.
"Truly your father's son through and through, it seems. He never took any damned responsibility either."

Summary
"Well, are you coming?" She asked, looking back at him.
"You're alright."
Her eyebrows furrowed. It was unlike Sebastian to pass up on a bit of fun. "Oh, come on. It'll be fun!"
"This is the best way to appreciate the lake, if you ask me. Warm, and from a distance."
She couldn't help but be a bit surprised. "You're not...scared of water, are you?"

Summary
"Sebastian, what -?"
He lunged forward, hands clasping her arms tightly to her side in a vice-like grip. She stumbled back, surprised.
"She's gone!"
His voice was broken and raw, and his brown eyes were full of desperation. He had clearly been crying.
She felt her heart drop through the floor. She knew what that meant.

Summary
“We shouldn’t,” Jinu manages in between kisses, in between hands groping her all over, reaching for every dip and swell of flesh, every exposed skin waiting to be marked. “I shouldn’t want you. Shouldn’t want this. I should hate this, I should, I should, I should —”
But then Rumi tangles a hand in black hair and he falls silent. Nothing but a gasp as fingers furl and unfurl around soft locks. Tugging ever so slightly, a little out of fondness, a little out of frustration. I love you, whispered in the way she trails kisses along the slope of his jaw.
“Then take me like you hate me,” she offers. So easily, so casually like she’s made for it. For him. “Like you hate this. All of this. Would that help? Would you finally have me then?”

Summary
To young lord Hans Capon of Pirkstein, no matter whether he was the son of a village blacksmith or a noble's bastard, Henry was no more than a dog.
The moment the dog dared to disobey, all he was good for was to be kicked, and all he could hope for is that the lord, in his infinite noble wisdom, wouldn't deem him rabid—and put him down.
Let it be so, then. If he was an unruly dog, hungering after something he had no right to, then he was already damned. God can't help him.
His soul was already lost—the leash to it in different hands than God's.Henry tries to bury all the conflicting feelings about his lord somewhere deep. But was born under an unlucky star, after all: the world won't let him keep these things buried for too long. A study of Henry's state of mind after Laboratores until For Victory!; exploration of his own fears and desires he struggles to understand. Canon compliant, extended: filling in the gaps. Misunderstood religious misery, self-discovery, shameless dog motif, power imbalance and crossing the class divide; two absolute fools in horrible, horrible love.
