Summary
Evander Rue had his entire life planned out even before he was born. He grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and parents who never had time for him. A family who barely called or cared for him left him to be raised by his nanny until his eighteenth birthday when everything changed. His father planned for him to attend some prestigious college to study business and take over the family company. Unfortunately, his immaculate grades were tarnished because of a ridiculous mythology class.
However, it seemed fate had a twisted sense of humor when the new kid, the local witch's goth nephew, seemed to take over his world. At first, Evander didn't spare him a glance, leery of the newcomer, but he had more important things to worry about, like his birthday party and maintaining his reputation. The new kid's arrival or his grades didn't pause Evander's celebration; he was going to officially be an adult. Nothing would keep him from celebrating, not even a cautionary howl under the light of the full month.

Summary
Lauchlan led a simple life, a comfortable one, and all things considered he was quite lucky. He had steady work, a roof over his head, food on his plate, a family who loved him, if from a distance, and good company to keep himself in.
He had his good days and his bad days, of course, everyone did, and if one outnumbered the other, well, such was life. He thought he was satisfied with his lot, but, all it took was one stag night, and a few too many drinks addling his brain for it all to come crashing down around his ears.
He didn’t know what drove him to it, didn’t know what he’d do, didn’t know what he’d done. All he knew was that he’d woken up in a strange bed, with a stranger man curled against his side, bruises like handprints on his hips, and the sinking realization that what he’d done could never be taken back, never undone.
He never thought he was the sort of man who would do such a thing. Never thought himself capable of it. He never thought he’d come to like it. Never would have believed he’d come to love him.
Turns out, there were a lot of things he’d never thought before.

Summary
Corbin has never been the type anyone wanted to bring home for longer than it took to find a little satisfaction, and that was fine. That was the world they lived in, a little backgammon here and there is the most any of them can expect. Most men of their ilk still had wives, children, careers, hell, whole lives to protect after all. Corbin himself? Well he had never had all that much worth losing, so he’d been free to play the game as much as he liked with whoever would take him, and that was fine. It was enough.
What happened with Lauchlan? Not fine, not even a little bit, but they’ve come out the other side and Lauchlan still wants him around. Still says he wants him, needs him, loves him, and Corbin isn’t fine about that either because for the first damn time in his life he has someone who wants to know him and he can’t even bloody act on it. Not with guilt and shame boiling in him whenever he touches him. Not when Lauchlan says those words like they’re so easy, like he’s worthy of them.
A better man would stay away, and Corbin ain’t good, not by a long shot, but he’s trying.
