    ["Are you awake?" Her words broke the droning hum of something outside the room, something mechanical. Panic. Fear. That wasn't a question I had been trained to reply to, so it must be some sort of test. Silence was the best course of action.

    "You aren't with HYDRA. You won't be hurt by anyone here," She continued, disgustingly gentle. Like I was a child. And what could that possibly mean? No one new what my program was, or where my home was stationed, not even other programs had access to the paper documents my existence was recorded on. They made that clear the first time I had broken a hand trying to tunnel through the wall.

    "Are you able to talk? I can get you some ice chips if you're thirsty." It was sickening. This was a cruelty they had never shown before, a fleeting comfort to be ripped away the moment I relaxed. She didn't smell like she was lying, however. Just nervous, and maybe a little tired. Maybe the test was to comply, to prove my obedience? She was very insistent, after all.]

    Sigmund had spent the last ten years, rotting alone in a HYDRA cell, before an Avengers mission intercept his transfer to a new facility. Hijinks ensue.
