Summary
When Obi-Wan dies by Anakin's hand, he expects that to be the end.
It is not.
When he opens his eyes again, all of thirteen but with forty extra years of experience, not even the dust, dread, and death on Melidaan can stand in his way. Obi-Wan had seen the worst that the galaxy had to offer twice over - he'll be damned if he lets everything happen the same way for the second time.

Starscream somehow 'awakens' from a very strange state of unconsciousness that makes him feel self-conscious and nostalgic in ways he never stopped to think about before, but that's not what worries him.
He is worried that she sees him the way she is doing now, distrust, betrayal and frustration dancing a dangerous tango on her optics.
He didn't know what he had done, it had only been a week since he had talked to her, what could he have done in such a short time for her to look at him like all the other mechs who had had the misfortune of crossing paths with him?
Or maybe more time had passed than his processor led him to believe, but he couldn't remember anything at all, nothing after... After... After what?

Summary
The Decepticons' recent and devastatingly effective victories, particularly the coordinated efforts of Starscream and Predaking, baffle the logical scientist Shockwave. His statistical analysis deems their synergistic combat prowess improbable given their seemingly disparate personalities. However, Soundwave presents data suggesting that strong emotional bonds, specifically those of mated pairs in various species, correlate with increased strategic coordination and mutual defense.
Witnessing the unusual contentment and teamwork between Starscream and Predaking, and hearing Knock Out's observations about their effectiveness, Megatron sees only positive results. Shockwave, however, is unable to reconcile the empirical battlefield success with his logical framework. Intrigued and unsettled by this "paradox of affection," he resolves to study Starscream and Predaking, intending to analyze their interactions and conduct experiments to understand the illogical efficiency of their bond, much to their potential displeasure.
