Tamaki whipped his head up to stare the man in the eyes before looking away sharply. His eyes became glued to the ground as he knotted his fists up, playing with his thumbs. “No . . . I don’t know.” Tamaki shrugged dismissively.

“No, Red Riot…” Tamaki muttered under his breath, lips brushing the fabric of his hero costume's cape, the angelic pale material draped and wound over his shoulders.
“C’mon Suneater! Please, just do it once! I know you can,” Kirishima was marching beside him, hands clasped as he begged Tamaki to manifest something dumb.
“I won’t..”
“But a pig snout would be so funny!” Kirishima insisted.
“It’d be a waste.” Tamaki rolled his eyes. “And… Embarrassing.”
Before their banter could go any further a loud crashing boom echoed around the street corner, and in that moment Tamaki’s stomach plummeted. So much for a relaxing patrol.

Summary
Mirio didn't know where Tamaki was and it drove him crazy.
He continued marching through the humid air. The sun burned hot on the crown of his head, his skin was grimey from sweat and the dust that clogged the atmosphere. The land was still settling, and he did his best to not lose his footing.
He decided to head in the direction of the city, maybe he'd find Tamaki there, or even Fat Gum. Maybe he'd know about his friend’s whereabouts.
Mirio refused to let his mind wander to worst case scenarios, he had to keep himself focused and his attention on Hado and his surroundings. Hado he could look after.

Summary
Tamaki wasn't very familiar with handling children. He was an only child, and wasn't close to his relatives, he barely knew his cousins on his mothers or fathers side, so he hadn't had many playmates as a kid or any kind of babysitting responsibilities.
Tamaki can just faintly remember a time when he was young, maybe when he was twelve, he had held a baby at a birthday party of a family friend.
It was a very uncomfortable situation. He was scared half to death that he'd drop the tiny bundle somehow, or maybe squeeze them too tight. The kid ended up crying and throwing up all over his shirt.
Since then, Tamaki decided he was not a guy that was very good with kids.

Tamaki openly gawks. He was actually looking around on the ground for bugs, bugs that he expected Tamaki to eat. Tamaki panicked silently as Kirishima started trekking into the grass, squinting at the bark of trees and squatting to get closer to the ground and combing through the green blades of grass.
"..Kirishima?" He called timidly, standing over the underclassmen, brows wrinkled.
"Yeah, senpai?" Kirishima prompts, not looking up but nodding his head, still searching for some sort of insect.
"If you don't mind, I really don't want to eat something off the ground unless I have to. Or use my quirk in public."

On a typical day, his words would be respected. He’d be given tight smirks and smiles, mirth dancing in everyone’s eyes as they politely swallowed back words.
It’s not that day.
Uraraka almost bends in half with laughter, arms wrapped around her torso. “You’re so cute,” she partly cackles. Hagakure has wrapped him up into her arms, pinching his cheeks despite his struggles. “Itty bitty baby!”
“I’m going to kill you,” Hitoshi threatens. His squished cheeks make the threat soft.
or: on a morning patrol, hitoshi has the rotten luck of being hit with a de-aging quirk.
