Buck didn’t mean to be a bad kid. He didn’t mean for things to happen. Not really. It wasn’t his fault that light bulbs exploded when he got too angry, or that streetlights flickered when kids made fun of him on the playground. He couldn’t explain why thunder rumbled in the distance when his mother screamed at him, or why rain lashed the windows like a tantrum from the sky. It just… happend.

Summary
Firehouse 118 can tell you: the stories are real. For centuries the supernatural have hidden themselves in human society, living in relative peace beside them. On the edges of both worlds is where Buck was born and raised, a creation of magic thought to have been extinct for centuries.
Or: A canon rewrite through the lens of a supernatural society and Buck slowly finding himself and unconditional love in the process.

Buck’s double life as a superhero on L.A.’s premier hero team is upturned by a handsome new recruit who seems to be better than Buck in every way. But Buck has no idea who the man is. He doesn’t even know his name. And he certainly has no idea how close he really is to the man under the mask.
