This was inspired by your Tumblr poetry series--which was so nostalgic for me, and had me wanting to write my own 😊
I was also crafted to be interpreted from Nick's perspective, as he's written in Until we meet again.... Which is going to haunt me until the end of time, by the way--if anyone hasn't read it yet and can handle MCD, go read it!! It's one of the most beautiful depictions of grief and life/loss I've read. Brilliant writing, and it made me cry which is notoriously challenging to do. -

I make the terrible mistake of looking at the side-view mirror. I don't see much before Ben’s car whips around the bend in the road, but I see enough to know that she’s—shit.
Oh, fuck. Fuck… fuck, shit, fucking—oh fuck.
We just murdered someone.

Charlie and Ben are driving through the little box suburbs of Laguna Beach, when an argument ensues between them. Distracted, Ben hits and kills Sarah while she's out walking Nellie. Charlie attempts to process his guilt in the healthiest, sanest way imaginable: by joining the support group that Nick has been attending, in the hopes of befriending him. Naturally, he does so under the false-pretense of having lost his own fiancé (despite the fact that he is definitely not engaged, and Ben is, unfortunately, still alive and well). And Charlie, well. He falls head over heels for Nick.
But there's one problem: Nick is dead-set on finding his mother's murderer.
A little twisted, California comedy, a la "Dead To Me."

Nick Nelson is a temporary contract landscaper, living with his Mom in a quiet town in northern Sanctaria. Nick has little knowledge of the inner workings of their theocratic government, but when his job brings him to the remote, mountain property of Saint Francis Borgia's Cathedral and Education Center, his entire life and worldview becomes unraveled as he soon discovers the dark, twisted nature of his new place of employment.
Here, he meets and falls for Charlie: a heart-stopping, beautiful Proselyte who does not speak a word to Nick. As they grow closer, Nick can't help but fear that Charlie is being held against his will.

Tara has a lot on her plate. Between balancing coursework, performing at the local queer bar, and learning to comfortably embrace herself as a lesbian, all the while falling head-over-heels for Glamorous' quirky bartender, she's been on the brink of overwhelm for awhile.
It all comes to a boiling point on the evening Nick and Charlie come to visit her perform the headlining act for Glamorous' sapphic-themed burlesque night, and Tara finds herself trapped in a way she'd never anticipated.
