At the end of "The Kid from Cleveland" there is an Epilogue that covers some events that happen a month after Alex's hospital stay and Ellen Reed's brief visit (before she goes back to Paris). One big event is Ellen showing up on the Keatons' doorstep to announce that she is pregnant with Alex's baby. While Alex is understandably overwhelmed, he does finally indicate that he is on board with the pregnancy.
But there are eight months (roughly) before we meet the new Ellex baby. And some of those months are a little rough.

Linda didn’t think she could take much more of this. “Jesus. Jesus Christ.” She brought a hand up to her face, covering her eyes in some sort of half-assed attempt to make this headache go away. “And you just- weren’t going to tell us? Any of us?”
“Well, what did you want me to do?” Marty asked defensively. “Bring it up at dinner sometime, like, ‘hey, guys, the reason I’ve been so weird is because I’m a time traveler, and I’m actually from a different timeline, and also that Calvin guy Mom dated in high school for a day was me’?! You’d all think I was fucking crazy!” He started pacing again. “Hell, you probably do think I’m crazy!”
Linda sighed. “If anyone’s crazy, it’s me, for believing you.”(or: yet another "marty sort-of-accidentally lets it slip that. the plot of the movies happened. and that hes in a different timeline. bc hes not great at lying" fic. its been done a million times before but hey. 2 cakes and all that)

A few things to note:- Everyone is of age in this fic. Marty is 18, David is 19 [give or take a couple hundred years], Jennifer is 18, and so on. I don't want to hear about it later.
- A lot of this moves between what's real and what might not be - there are a few chapters that deal with dissociation, dreams, and unreality. If that's something that affects you, feel free to skip this fic.
