"It's gonna be okay, pal" Bucky whispered into Steve's hair "There are other ways for you to contribute." He mumbled softly, repeating the words he would say every time Steve came home like this, all downtrodden and frustrated. The blonde let out a frustrated sigh, turning around in Bucky's arms and burying his face into his chest.
"I just don't feel right if I'm not able to go out there and fight, Buck, I can't sit back and do nothing when people are in danger." Steve whispered, voice cracking as he clung to Bucky like a lifeline "I don't like bullies, you know this." he stated with a wince as he coughed, the cold finally catching up to him, even below the sheets. Bucky let out a soft hum, wrapping his arms tighter, yet still gentle, around Steve.

Summary
The thing about Bucky these days is that, while he might be a semi-mythical assassin, he's also vulnerable—the kind of vulnerable that makes total strangers want to drape a blanket over his shoulders and take him to safety. The problem is, of course, that Bucky is already safe.
The first time it happens, Bucky has no idea how to react. He and Steve are walking down the street, when a slight woman takes in Bucky’s terrified eyes, the dark circles so bad they almost look like bruises, and Steve’s protective hand resting on his lower back, guiding him down the busy sidewalk (but it must look possessive, to someone looking for a sign), and comes to the wrong conclusion.

Summary
Cloud and Genesis meet because they share an unhealthy coping mechanism: they both fuck to cope. One night in a club turns into a relationship, turns incredibly awkward when Zack Fair and Angeal Hewley, their respective thought-to-be-dead exes, turn up. Any stability they manage to find is scrapped when Sephiroth claws his way back out of the Lifestream, and they have to try and make sense of things all over again.
I promise this will eventually be AGSZC, it's just gonna take a while to get there

Summary
