He was about ten paces away from the goblet that had damningly pulled his name from its depths when a warm hand grabbed his wrist firmly. His body tensed for a fraction of a second before a gentle tug reassured and stopped him in his tracks.
“I won’t let this happen” Hadrian whispered quietly to Alex, then more clearly to the Great Hall he said, “I won’t let you compete.”
“Mr. Black, I’m sorry to say your opinion on Mr. Potter’s situation has very little value. Mr. Potter must compete as his name has been drawn thus verifying the contract that states that, should he fail to compete, his magic may be forfeit.”

Stiles feels kind of bad about this.
Kind of.
His cousin Harry is supposed to be on holiday. Relaxing with his friends after their NEWTS (& a war), catching up with his much preferred family, that sort of thing. Not helping out with the newest big bad, getting growled at by werewolves and stopping his friend saying the wrong thing to the wrong wolf.
But... Stiles also kind of wants to see his cousin kick some ass.

Summary
So I missed Evil Author Day, despite planning months ago to post something on it. I wanted to post something for it anyway, because it's been a while since I posted anything. So here's three stories, one to make up for every day I missed.
I chose these stories because, despite the desire to do otherwise, chances are really slim that I'll ever add to or finish these to a complete story. That is why it's called Evil Author Day after all, you know not to necessarily expect more going in.

“You know, Count,” he said, “not that I’m displeased, but I do have to wonder why you’ve kept me alive—perhaps the real reason is to use me as bait. Perhaps you’re waiting for my General to come to my rescue.” Dooku tilted his head the slightest bit, but didn’t respond, his face still schooled into a mostly-blank mask, though it leaned more towards pleasant interest than true neutrality.
“He won’t come,” Cody said. “He shouldn’t come, and he knows that.”
“I believe,” Dooku said, “that he may yet surprise you.”
Cody wakes up a guest in Dooku's castle. It goes… not quite as he’d expected it to.
