Summary
Modern girl with minimal knowledge of lotr wakes up in middle earth. The world is in a bad way, the one ring is found and darkness has reared its ugly head.
Finding her way to the elves is a trip and a half in so many ways. Discovering that goblins, dragons and dark overlords are a thing is most unwelcome.
Stranded as she is OC tries to make the best of things, but troubles and adventure lies ahead.
Starts around the time of the fellowship of the ring but our girl is not a tenth walker, she has other things to worry about. So many things.

Summary
You've heard this story a million times over, and it is always the same. There's a woman. She somehow wakes up in Middle-Earth, boys like her, everyone wants to kill her, things get dicey. But she's got the entire story in her head, she knows everything that is about to happen, and she has no intention of allowing things to happen the way they're "supposed" to.
Now throw in the fact that she can't speak a lick of Common, because it isn't English despite what others might think, and she does things that should be impossible and moves like she was made for battle. Throw in some time travel, plots that stretch back thousands of years, ample sass, somewhat meddling Gods, and what we have is (hopefully) a different tale to the one that you're used to it.
The premiss of the story might be the same, but shake enough trees and stamp on enough butterflies and things aren't going to end up the same way as one would expect them to.

Ravka was crumbling, surrounded by enemies, choked by the Fold, time has not been kind to it. They hailed their newly discovered Sun Summoner as their savior, as a Saint who rose to change their fates. But fate knew that wasn't enough. So it intervened. It gave Ravka a fighting chance.
For centuries, he prowled the lands alone, protecting the Grisha to the best of his ability. It had never been enough before the Fold, it had become a double edged sword after. He was tired of the struggle, tired of war, yet in his bones, he knew he would never give up. Hope rose for the first time in eons, when a Sun Summoner was discovered, but in his heart, he knew that wasn't enough. The plight of the Grisha was beyond the blight that cut through their kingdom, the magnitude of which he resigned he may never find answers for.
Then, he found her.
