Summary
When House is hospitalized after a suspected Vicodin overdose, House is strongly against this absurd idea. He makes Wilson a bet: the hospital’s tests for an overdose will come out negative.
House wins the bet. As it turns out, this is not a victory.
He loses, in more ways than one, when it becomes apparent that whatever hospitalized him will uproot his entire way of life.

Summary
Throughout their months of living together, Yor has started noticing little things about Loid. Little things like red and white marks on his arms and legs. Things like the large scar stretching over his stomach whenever his shirt creeps up a bit. Little things that worry her.
After a couple of evenings of hesitating, on a calm Sunday, she decides to ask him about it. Loid doesn't tell the truth, of course, but he gets as close to the truth as he dares.

Summary
After his fight with Nai, Vash is brought back home by Luida. His recovery after the incident is quick, but that doesn't change the fact that his arm is gone and won't come back. Which, in a world as harsh as his, is a serious disadvantage.
From this conundrum, the concept of Vash's prosthetic is born. He'll need two arms, after all, if he wants to survive in this world.
If Brad had it his way, he'd make the kid a gun for a hand, just so that no one will screw with him again. Unfortunately, Vash is made of love and peace - and he won't let Brad rest until his new hand is fit for giving fist bumps and high fives.

Daichi looked up from his reading at Suga’s sudden words.
“What?”
“I said I’m going to die soon,” he repeated calmly.
The setter, who was lying on his back on the bed, rolled over onto his side and looked down at where Daichi was sitting on the floor. Daichi set down his book beside him. Suga gave him a small smile. Daichi frowned.
“Don’t say that.”
“Why not? Because it’s true?” When Daichi didn’t reply, Suga reached out and tousled his hair. “I’m sorry. I know it’s hard for you to hear me say things like that. But it helps me come to terms with it. Do you understand?”
Daichi closed his eyes and sighed. “I do.”
When Suga is diagnosed with cancer, it takes everything in Daichi's power to accept that within the year his best friend would no longer be alive.
