Summary
At the end of Corrie Red chapter 10, Vokara Che tells Cody:
“If you know where to look, you can find traces of Darkness. But Commander Fox—his blood is Darkness. It’s fused so thoroughly, I can see no way of extracting it without killing him.”What if instead it went like this?
Fox was admitted to the Jedi Halls of Healing to determine the source of the Darkness within the Guard and root it out. But what happens when you cut off a codependent, traumatized, and *eldritch* group of clones from their overprotective and equally traumatized older brother?

Summary
Call it what you like, the remnants of some long-forgotten protocol, so old that the software engineers forgot they built it into their systems, or the lingering trauma of being abused and debased by anti-android humans, or even just some desire to still be of use to Lieutenant Anderson.
Whatever it is, it keeps Connor and Nines retreating to a creaky closet in the very back of the garage, hidden away until they can be of use again.

Summary
A new and somewhat controversial therapy program comes along and Hank is willing to give it a try in order to help Connor adjust to his deviancy. Throughout the relatively lengthy program Hank relearns what it's like to be a father and Connor learns what it's really like to be a son; to really be a part of a family.

There are a few constants in soulmates:
1.) The bond transfers emotions, each half of the soul bond holding half of the emotions.
2.) Humans have them, androids don't. Alternatively: Humans come in halves, and androids are whole.
3.) Gavin Reed doesn't have a soulmate. RK900 does.Or: Because Gavin doesn't have a soulmate, he's missing half of his emotions. RK900 has emotions from the moment he initialized, and the first thing he noticed was the writhing, spitting presence at the edge of his programming. (It's meant to be.)
