The Viltrumite looked at him, still with the civilian floundering in hand. Sighed, heavy, tired.
"I should not have fallen in love", The voice came out in a tone of regret, almost sad. He sighed, looking at the ground. The civilians behind held their breath. "I know. Look what that turned me into."
Her gaze turned to Rex, and there was something broken there. A bitter smile.
"In my world, I let you get so close. And in the end, I would wake up every morning alone. Without you. Without anyone."
