Summary
By day, Edelgard “Eisner” is an unassuming socialite in the futuristic megacity of New Fodlan. But by night she is the Queen of Flames, leader of the rebellion against the God-Emperor Nemesis and his empire spanning the solar system. She fights for her dead brother Dimitri, for those living under the oppressive rule of the Magistrate, and as the last of the Hresvelg name. But why does she have memories of a past ruled by magic, and why does she long for a beautiful turquoise-haired woman whose name she cannot recall?
As Edelgard and her Black Eagles raise the banner of rebellion, she finds that not all is as it seems when it comes to the God-Emperor and his right hand Thales. Each time she crosses blades with the mysterious Ashen Demon, she comes a little closer to unraveling the secrets behind her augmentations, her false memories, and the horrifying truth of her existence. Yet things are never quite black and white in New Fodlan, and she finds herself succumbing to the very evil she swore to destroy...

Summary
Jeralt Eisner, former knight of Seiros, turns up at Garreg Mach half-mad and nearly dead. He rambles about his child being stolen by dark mages before collapsing. Soon after, the students of the Officers Academy are plagued by disturbing stories of the so-called Ashen Demon, an emotionless warrior bent on their destruction. The flames of war rise as Those Who Slither in the Dark are able to step out of the shadows and declare the Agarthan subjugation of Fódlan. Division means death and all houses must join together to face the threat.

Summary
After her defeat at Enbarr, Edelgard is rescued by two strangers who help her escape to a recently conquered territory of Morfis. There she meets a resistance army that seeks the aid of a foreign power to fight the Morfisian occupiers. She immediately begins to plot her return to Fodlan to reclaim the Empire, but she is unexpectedly reunited with someone whom she never thought she would see again, and who poses a serious threat to her plans. At the same time, she is unwillingly drawn into the life of a strange city that leads her to question what she believes. Above all, her transformation into the Hegemon Husk has taken a terrible toll on her, and she will have to choose what she wants more before she dies: to return to her home, or to become fully human again.
