Izuku woke up slowly, blearily blinking his eyes open as he struggled to piece thoughts together. He knew something was wrong, that there was something major to be worried about, but his brain just wouldn’t work long enough to figure out what it was.
Until he moved enough for a sharp, burning pain to race along his skin.
The greenette didn’t have a problem with waking up after that; he jolted fully awake in zero seconds flat in tandem with his body jolting at the pain, only succeeding in causing more pain. He hissed lowly as he forced himself to still, the events of the previous night rushing back. He didn’t know what had happened after he’d blacked out, but he did know he was currently shirtless, tied to a chair with silver chain- the source of the pain- wrapped around his bare arms and torso, and legs, and that he had an absolutely pounding headache. He also knew it was early morning, just a couple hours after sunrise.

Learning Izuku had no quirk at all was a blow to all of them. Inko was worried about her reputation amongst her peers and, much more quietly because she could barely bear to admit it to herself, that this somehow meant something was wrong with her. Hisashi went into denial the second he heard that there was a .0002 percent chance that Izuku could develop a quirk despite the extra feet bones, teeth, and organs. Everything he’d spent a lifetime building crumbling with one doctor’s meeting was unacceptable.
He’d never allow it.
Izuku was only four, he was still trying to figure out what that meant, why all the adults were so upset. So he did what any four year old would do- turned to his mom for comfort and reassurance.
“But I can- I can still be a hero, right?” He asked, eyes wide and holding back tears as his favorite All Might video played on loop in his memory, competing with the doctor’s words that he’d most likely never have a quirk playing on loop. For the first time in his life, his mom didn’t answer him.
Inko just turned away, covering her mouth with one hand as her own tears began to fall. Nothing was ever the same after that day.

“What I really want to talk about is your quirk. Your actual quirk,” All Might says nervously. “You are not quirkless, my boy. You never were. That quirk is not a part of One For All.” All Might takes a deep breath and tells Izuku all about the origin of One For All and the evil man who created it. He pauses for a moment at the end of the story. "Young Midoriya, can you tell me about your father?”
Izuku blanches. “I— what? Why?” he demands. But he knows where this is going, he knows what he can do, he just desperately wishes it’s not true.
“You have his quirk, my boy. You have All For One.”
TLDR: One for All forces the manifestation of Izuku's original quirk. The one he inherited from his father.

With those simple words Izuku Midoriya’s world cracked and shattered.
After a villain attack leaves his mother comatose, a grief stricken Izuku Midoriya seeks revenge and justice against villains, but he’s in wildly over his head. The vigilante Stain finds him beaten in an alley and sees more in this quirkless child than he’s seen in heroes for a long time.
Time passes and a stealthy vigilante that strikes from the shadows and holds a distaste for heroes and villains alike emerges. The pro heroes Eraserhead and Midnight are assigned to bring them in, but they have no idea just what waits in store for them down the line. Or just how attached they might get to this vigilante.

Izuku is a homeless vigilante with nothing and no one, slowly losing his mind from guilt, anger, grief and isolation, Eraserhead and Midnight just want to help him but it’s tricky with how little he trusts them, and new family can be found on the streets more often than you may think.
