He wasn’t oblivious, he’d been told he was good-looking before, even used it to his advantage on slow shifts at the Roadhouse. But he wasn’t looking, and it didn’t seem fair to engage with people who clearly were. Maybe it was time… it had been, god, five years? Time had gone fast; seems like yesterday they were scraping by enough money to put in a deposit for Dean’s, now Sam’s, apartment. Now, Sam was in his final year, owning the whole class and Dean was back in school, doing his master’s for crying out loud. Anyway, the point was: he wasn’t looking, and he doubted he’d be looking for a long, long time.
