A tale of suspicion, intrigue, and romance. Following the Soviet soldier Lilya, and the plucky and wonderful new Stasi agent, Bkornblume, renowned for her diligent survelliance, loyalty, and ability to strike obedience into the populous she monitors. Too well, in fact, as Lilya soon grows to be suspicious of the few arrests ever made by her, and the fact that seems seems far to soft and leniant for one of Erich Mielke's secret police.
Yet, when come terms to terms with the fact, how could she crush such a gentle flower? Someone so hopeful? Condemning them to confinement and the horrible interrogation would be cruel, and a waste indeed. Wait, no, she isn't developing emotions for her? She so is.

It all started in that cafe in Ring road, when Heinrich introduced her to Theophil and Isolde Von Dittarsdorf, and they walked out arm in arm and never let go of each other again. They became fast friends, the best of friends even, and Kakania was bewitched by the way her best friend’s cheeks turned pink whenever she was around, how her already angelic voice softened whenever they talked about nothing and everything all at once. Isolde was different, Kakania realized just in time to realized Isolde thought the same of her.
It wasn’t her life, it could never have been hers, but what sort of life was the one she led now? It wasn’t hers either, it hadn’t been for months, not since the storm of nineteen thirteen hit Vienna. But didn’t she deserve a little fantasy? No, but Kakania ignored that, too.
