He pauses, shifting to free one of his hands, gently grabbing the baby’s hand so as to read the identification tag around her tiny wrist. It’s got a date of birth, and a first name, no last. “Just about a week. You were born almost the same time as the Empire. How ‘bout that?”
The baby yawns, wide eyes scrunching shut. “Let’s you and I make a deal,” Alesk says. “We just won't tell Vader that you had a twin. Alright? You were the only baby there. Yes you were. Just like the intel said. That sound good, little Leia?”Or: the AU where Padmé lives, Vader doesn't realize it, Luke grows up with a Rebel mom, Leia grows up Imperial, and the twins meet amidst a backdrop of interstellar conflict.
Or: The Parent Trap, but Star Wars.

Summary
In which Jake is petty, Khonshu finds a new hobby, Marc is tired of everyone's shit, and Steven learns to channel his inner Librarian. Presumably someone has custody of the braincell. It's not entirely clear who.
What starts as light-hearted system shenanigans with a somewhat domesticated Pigeon becomes a desperate quest to rescue a missing piece of themselves when, inevitably, the fallout from the Ennead's spectacular failure catches up with them and everything spirals out of control.
This was stuck with the rather silly title The Hair War for the longest time as it started out as a standalone short story. It very definitely outgrew that, so... new, slightly less ludicrous title.
This story is complete, and the final four chapters will be posted before Christmas (2025, just in case you look at the date it started to be posted and wonder!)

Summary
When it came to heroes and other vigilantes, Marc didn’t have any interest in interacting with them.
He travels with Khonshu’s will, continuing to protect those under the moon and following through with Khonshu’s severe judgments. He kills and keeps Khonshu content and fed, shielded under the darkness of night and the flickers of the moon.
(Or, Marc meets the Avengers. And then gets shot in the head.)

“The Encanto?” Mirabel frowns.
She knows the name. It’s where she and her tío come from, but she can barely remember it. There was a very big casa with a lot of other children, and magical doors that glowed. Tío tells her stories, when he’s in a certain mood, about growing up with his triplet sisters, magical stories about gifts and a sentient casa.
Mirabel isn’t magical in any way, and half the time, she wonders if Tío just makes it all up. It all sounds like a fairy tale. But then she remembers Tío’s gift. There’s no doubt that it’s magical – but if that’s what magic is like, then Mirabel isn’t too sure that she wants anything to do with it.
