Lyrical poetry by Fridrich Bridel.He's very young. Pavel thinks he might look younger than he actually is, but even so. His eyes are huge, and they dart about with a fear Pavel can't quite place. It's the look of a student caught out at a lesson, but it's also the look of prey, and also the look of a predator that doesn't know what it's doing. Pavel has survived many a year through sizing up other men quickly, and something about this one makes him pause. It's oddly charming, and Pavel likes him immediately.
A retelling in full of Henry's time in the monastery. Or at least how it went in our hearts.

Summary
Henry left his stint at the monastery with a heart lighter for how he managed to resolve the messy business with "Brother Antonius", but heavier for all the injustice he witnessed happening in full view and under the auspices of the monastery's authorities.
So he decided to follow his heart and do something about it.

Summary
Henry enters the monastery in search of Pious and accepts his new identity as Gregor. Antonius, one of the novices, accompanies him through his first days as a guide, but soon they start spending time together regularly, growing closer day by day. Gregor's detective work is going much slower than he had hoped, and by the time he learns the truth, he had already caught feelings and has to deal with them now.

Gregor has no home but the monastery. His hands are steady and unbloodied as he brews medicines for ailing men he will never see with his own eyes. Henry envies him, somehow. Henry wants, absurdly, to say he's sorry.
