Akechi tsked, his sharp eyes noting the hitch in his victim’s breath as the bed dipped beneath his weight. He seemed the opposite of annoyed as if Akira had passed some unknown test.
“The walls are soundproof, but I’ll certainly have you screaming my name soon.” His purr sent familiar pleasant shivers down Akira’s spine. “I was right to follow my instincts. You’re absolutely perfect.”

Joker should scream, should kick, should plead, anything. But the thrumming ice is hardening in his veins, spreading to his muscles and settling like fallen frost—he couldn’t move if he wanted to.
“Well well, what do we have here? A little fox stuck in a rabbit hole?”
