It wasn’t that I hadn’t expected it. It wasn’t even the first time I’d read something vile or twisted or deliberately cruel. But this felt different. Because it wasn’t just about me anymore.
It was about Charles. And Alex. And Kelly.

After coming out on New Year’s Eve, Max and Charles are thrown into a full-blown media storm. British tabloids go on the attack, splashing their story across front pages with cruel speculation about a secret, years-long affair. Kelly and Alexandra are caught in the crossfire, framed as either deceived or complicit.
The story follows Max through a lonely, brutal week in Milton Keynes, far from Charles, and deeper than ever inside his own head. He knows the UK press is aiming most of its fire at him, and that everyone else are just collateral damage. They’re being called liars, manipulators, traitors. Max tries to push through, stay professional. But he’s not sleeping, not talking, and not letting anyone see how much it’s tearing him apart.Series

He opened his arms, and I stepped in.
He didn’t even need to say it. I heard it in the way he touched the back of my head. In the way he pressed his cheek to my fur.

I let my eyes close.

Max officially moved in with Charles, like, no return ticket, fully committed, toothbrush and everything, and now he’s back to pick up Sassy and Jimmy too. Because if he’s building a life with Charles, obviously the furry children are part of the package.

"They don’t talk - never have. It’s funny, Max thought. They’ve been racing together for years - decades even. Yet outside of the paddock they’re barely more than strangers. Chatting together during interviews - sharing meaningful (or meaningless, Max considers) looks. It’s not like he minds it per se, Max thinks to himself, it’s just a bit funny. He loves to race the dude - loves beating him more accurately - but a friendship never came of it."
Set during the ’21 season, in which Max is fighting for the championship, Charles is suffering at the hands of Ferrari, and where two rivals become something more than either had ever anticipated. After all - they had never talked outside of the paddock before.

Summary
Max’s body burns up at the sound of the Monegasque and as much as he wants to blame it on his rut dazed state he can’t. With Charles he is always wanting. Wanting in ways he’s not supposed to want. His hand twitches around the door handle but he’s not sure if he can chance coming face to face with the other alpha right now. If his legs weren’t shaking with adrenaline maybe he could run and pretend he was never here.
“I can’t be out here Max”
Max inches the door open and is instantly overcome with the rich earthy tones of Charles’ scent as it fills the space. The Dutch alpha feels the aroma cling to him. Charles is sweating, his pupils blown, flush visible on every inch of exposed flesh. It takes less than a beat for Max to realise Charles is also in rut. In rut and at his door.

Summary
RedBull Racing fell apart after the 2024 season and they couldn't rebuild themselves.
The 2025 season marked the full fall.
They lost the drivers championship to Charles and the constructors championship to ferrari.
Max stepped out of formula one, adventuring himself more seriously with sim racing and even tried endurance for the 2027 season.
And then Hamilton announced his retirement at the end of the 2027 season. And one seat for the scuderia was open.or: max verstappen joins ferrari for the 2028 season.

Charles swallowed the lump in his throat. “Me either.”

“Are you sure about this?” Charles asked instead, laughing unbelievably and shaking his head. “This is not something we do, mate.”
“It could be something we do,” Max said, grinning at him. His fingers flexed on Charles’ hip, and it did something weird to Charles’ brain. When he looked back on this moment later, he would blame Max’s big hand on his hip for what he did next.
Because for some reason... Charles kissed him.
