Ranboo’s mismatched eyes narrowed. “Tubbo, I think we’re early.”
From behind the espresso machine, Tubbo peeked out with a sheepish grin, holding what looked suspiciously like a plastic death scythe. “Or we’re wrong. Again.”

The lock clicked. It was past midnight. Tommy didn’t look up from the microwave as the door creaked open behind him. The soft beeping continued, warming up the leftover pasta he’d saved for Tubbo and Ranboo. His hoodie was too big, sleeves hanging off his hands, and his hair stuck up at odd angles from a nap he hadn’t meant to take. He looked tired, but not surprised. “Long night?” he asked, voice casual, like they’d just come back from a movie and not... whatever it actually was.
Or: Tommy lives with his murderous best friends after being kicked out, but someone has it out for him.

Tommy is tired and smart, he’s political and keeps it locked up. He doesn’t make small talk on the subway and the owner of the sandwich shop down the block knows him by name. He doesn’t have friends, he’s always spending extra time in chemistry class. He declines his neighbors’ invitation to play Mario Kart and smiles politely at Ms. Puffy when she insists he takes three steaming bowls of pho.
He’s normal, probably a bit sad, a bit too tired, definitely too lonely. The thing is, Thomas ‘I told you, it’s just Tommy’ Watson is Spider-man.
Yeah, he can’t really decide if he likes the arrangement either.
