Summary
Everyone — Celegorm and Curufin included — had seemed surprised when Dior continued to show up with the misleading evidence. Though he could have easily Sung it away, Dior had not. If Dior’s surrender was the price for Doriath’s survival, people could damn well be forced to reckon with the reality of it.
And it was not actually a hardship. Not that anyone seemed inclined to believe that.

That idiot really thought the guy he was talking to in that room was his Mark. The good boyfriend. The super nice one. The lovestruck idiot.
And if he hadn't realized the truth yet, Mark wouldn't be the one to tell him.
