After his death in Meereen in service of his Queen and aunt Jon is raised from the dead by the high priestess of the Red God, with the veil of life gone from his eyes he is not blind anymore and what before was but a feeling starts to take form. His aunt is not who she made him believe she was, who she wants everyone to believe, who she herself believes herself to be. As he follows her west to conquer the Iron throne more problems add up to their already problematic and deteriorating relationship.
