Summary
Jimmy does what he always does after losing his job. The young man starts to ask around. Usually, he finds someone who needs dirty work done by someone who doesn't ask unnecessary questions. If he's lucky.

(alternatively: me pulling shit out of my ass about what happened before the canon of mouthwashing, as experienced by jimmy's crusty, dry eyes)

Summary
After an intense shouting match several months before, there was radio silence between Curly and Jimmy. Curly’s calls went unanswered in the following days, desperate to fix what they had broken. He was always the first to apologize, but he knew better than to be upset about it. He knew Jimmy struggled with it, and he wouldn’t blame him for it.
But one evening when Jimmy shows up without warning, soaked to the bone and looking far more put out than he has in a long time, Curly doesn’t hesitate to throw his welcoming arms around his friend.
Afterall, Curly never stayed upset about these things like Jimmy did.
