There it was. The gentle pull and suddenly he was unwinding. His life was crashing before his very eyes.
He was just a little kid. Terrified, missing his mom, afraid. So terribly afraid.
Every wall he built crumbled to dust. He had no foundation left to build off of. No rubble to try and cover himself with. He was left with only ashes and dust.

They say that he’s a Jedi Knight, that he wields a blue lightsaber and calls the slave-clones by the names they chose for themselves. It’s probably bantha shit, but Nima has to admit that even if it is a lie, it's by far the prettiest one she’s heard in years.
With Anakin off-planet on a mission and her anti-slavery bill being blocked at every turn, Padmé is feeling useless, exhausted, and very, very alone. Enter Nima, a twelve-year-old Amivakka slave of one of Orn Free Taa's aides. After being freed, Nima forces Anakin to remember that which he'd rather forget-- and in doing so, saves Padmé, Anakin, and the galaxy.
