Summary
Tragedy struck the Matz, the esteemed ship captained by the Pirate King, Hongjoong. Using his abilities in the ancient art of magic, he got the crew to safety as best he could. But as the captain, he remained with the ship. Aground on an untamed island, there are intense damages to the hull of the ship, and Hongjoong has exhausted himself from overusing powerful magic enchantments. He decides to take a few days to rest, but in the meantime, he meets a small, mysterious creature. Fairies were believed to be a myth, but Hongjoong isn't one to believe such claims. After proving himself as a kind soul, the two form an unlikely friendship, but Hongjoong soon learns the truth about why she was afraid to be found.

Summary
After an unfortunate accident separates the crew of an esteemed ship known as the Matz, Yunho is taken captive and used as a slave on a ship of older pirates. Now accompanying them on their voyage, he is taken to a mysterious cave, on a desolate island, in search of a famed treasure. Being that it used to be a shrine dedicated to a powerful water spirit, it was said to contain the offerings left for her by past followers, but when nothing turns up, Yunho is marooned on the island and left to die. His kindness earns him the true treasure that exists in the cave: a water spirit divinely bound to protect him until his death. Or until he commands otherwise.
