Summary
There was something comforting about the darkness. The void. The silence that washed over him as the numbing nothingness took hold. It seeped into Bucky's skin, settling like a blanket weighted just short of suffocating; warm in the way that left him feeling cold and hollow.
Maybe the experience was the same for everyone, or maybe Bucky was a special sort of fucked up because initially, the void wasn't so bad. Even when it began to shift around him, shadows closing in, it was fine. Shadows were, after all, precursors of the light.----
My rather philosophical take on Bucky's adventures through the shame rooms.

Summary
As a boy of seven, Bucky sat at his babushka’s feet, listening to her croaky old voice talk of fairy tales and prophesies while her lips curled around a lit Laika, the smoke trickling from her nostrils like a tsmok from one of her stories.
His babushka was horror, and she was memory; a lingering link between a world Bucky’s mother hated and one he saw as fantastical and magical. She was the storyteller, the soothsayer and the bringer of Bucky’s dreams.
She also heralded his nightmares.

Bucky stole Steve's wallet, and in return Steve stole his heart.
Bucky let him have his moment of playing innocent. “I’ve figured out your secret,” Bucky told him, looking out. The view of Manhattan was spectacular, and the food and drinks were decadent. It was the exact reason he’d gotten into the business.
“What’s that?” Steve asked. There was a smile hovering on his mouth as he took a sip of his drink, and Bucky wasn’t sure if it was because Steve was confident Bucky didn’t know his secret or if it was because they were sharing that awareness. Either way there was a flirtation to it that made Bucky’s heart beat a little faster, eager for the attention.
“You get off on this,” Bucky told him, leaning back against the railing and relishing the way Steve’s eyes followed the movement. “The rush. The danger. The game of strategy. You’ve found yourself here, with us thieves. It’s different on this side, and it’s seduced you.”

Summary
Bucky is a highly successful cooking and lifestyle blogger, the gay New England Pioneer Woman if you will. He writes all about life in his Connecticut home with his D.H. (darling husband). Only problem? It’s all complete fiction. He actually lives in a shitty Brooklyn apartment, is single as hell, and has visited Connecticut exactly one time at the age of eight.
When his agent Sam informs him that he's been offered an exclusive sponsorship deal with Stark Media and a three book contract to go with it, Bucky's forced to fess up to Sam, who's predictably...displeased. But Sam's also convinced the deal is too good to miss—even if they have to put on a little bit of a show in order to get it.
So Tony and Pepper descend on Bucky and Sam's fake home for Christmas with a devastatingly handsome War Hero in tow, and their already complicated plan quickly gets even more complicated as Bucky finds himself falling head over heels for Steve. Can he keep it together just for the holidays? Did he ever have it together in the first place?
