“Is this a trap?” he mumbled, unable to stop himself. James laughed, but Sirius continued. “I don’t have a resume. I don’t even have an address. Surely, you’re not that busy that you need to offer some idiot off the street a job.”
Something flickered in James’ face then and he looked deep in thought for a split second before he seemed to make his decision.
“I’d like to offer you the job,” he said resolutely, expression kind yet firm. “And my spare room.”
Sirius opened his mouth to protest as James held his hands up placatingly.
“Don’t argue,” he insisted. “You said you’ve come all this way from London? Just tonight?” Sirius nodded dejectedly. “Then yeah, you’re staying at mine. You can wash your clothes and have a proper shower and sleep in a proper bed, alright? It’s just me, mum and dad at home. They love bringing home strays.” He said this last with a grin and a wink, making Sirius huff an embarrassed laugh.

Summary
Remus is a forest witch living in a cottage up on a mountain. For a long time, he and Sirius have been happily in love as can be, but a dark curse has Sirius lose all of his memories. A year later, everyone is still struggling to adjust to the new circumstances.

Summary
Sirius visits Remus' house. It's the summer of their sixth year, and they're just friends. It's a perfectly normal thing to do.
“Sirius," he says slowly, sure that he must be misunderstanding him. "That’s Welsh.”
Sirius, unaffected by the answer, makes a sound of agreement.
“Yeah, like a Welsh driving code?”
“No- Sirius-" Remus stammers, entirely lost for words, reeling at this insane discovery. "Welsh language. Did you not- what the fuck did you think you were hearing on the train?”
Comprehension dawns on Sirius then. His fraught journey of begging strangers for directions was now helpfully contextualised.

Summary
The Shoebox Project was originally written and posted on LiveJournal between 2004 and 2008.
As the title implies, it's a recounting of an imaginary shoebox under Remus Lupin's bed, containing everything from their time at Hogwarts. Each section contains photos, letters, cards, diary entries, and so on, with the text of a character's chief memory about them providing the bulk of the post. The fic is Remus/Sirius as well as James/Lily, but contains several chapters of pure gen.
It is, overall, a happy and very funny recounting of the Marauder's story, with little to no angst, that was extremely popular in the fandom during the 2000's.
