Summary
In a desperate attempt to keep the friend group from emotionally imploding, Bowen signs everyone up for group therapy. It goes exactly as badly as you'd expect.
Hero is on the verge of a beautifully composed mental breakdown at all times, Kel is trying to be the emotional support golden retriever (emphasis on trying), Aubrey is one minor inconvenience away from fist-fighting the concept of trauma, and Sunny—oh Sunny—is sitting on a murder confession like it’s an Uno Reverse card.
As each member takes turns trauma-dumping, threatening sanity, and emotionally blackmailing each other with hugs and baked goods, the therapist slowly begins to realize she is wildly underpaid for this.

Summary
Years after Mari’s death and Sunny’s departure, Hero has built the life everyone expected of him: he's a successful doctor, dependable and composed, a pillar of his community. Their connection is subtle at first — shared silences, soft rituals, late-night pastries — but soon Hero finds himself drawn in. And it terrifies him. Not just because of Mari, but because of what this feeling means — the part of himself he's never spoken aloud. The part that says: you might not be straight. And that doesn’t make you broken.
As Hero navigates the weight of his past, the fear of being seen, and the unfamiliar warmth of something real growing between them, he must decide whether to keep performing the life he was given — or finally bake one of his own.
