Summary
Julie Molina moved to Los Angeles four days ago with her inheritance and a dream. She was twenty-two, a recent graduate of the Midwestern School of Music and had woke up in her childhood bedroom six days ago hearing LA calling her name.
Packing her bags, Julie finds herself couch surfing in her best friend's apartment while she tries to find the spark she'd lost two years before. With six weeks to find a permanent place to live and a whole city calling her name, she thinks she really needs to stop spending so much time at the coffee shop. It's probably pretty lucky that her three new friends have a room for rent and make the music feel like it matters again.

Then she lifted her head and her eyes landed on him. In the next moment, she was up and clinging to his leather jacket as if it were a lifeline. There was a desperation in her eyes as she started pleading. “Please. I need your help! They took my little sister. Please, she’s only seven years old. I- I couldn’t stop them. Please! I can’t lose her. I can’t!”
Green filled his gaze. What kind of scum kidnapped a defenseless seven-year-old. He took a deep steadying breath and gently put his hands on her shoulders. “Easy, easy. Take a breath. What’s your name? Tell me what happened. Who took your sister?”
Jason took her appearance in. She had a big forming bruise on her cheek and there was a wound on her temple, the blood already dried. Her knuckles were bloody, and Jason was sure that whatever had happened, she had not gone down without a fight.
Or: I decided Jason deserves happiness, so I'm giving him a girlfriend and a little happy virus to shower him in affection.
