  Summary

  "Trust has nothing to do with how you fuss over your heroes," E-Soul spat out.

  "Oh, that too, of course. I do care about them. But to me, that's a normal desire. Even if we weren't close, they're people just like everyone else," Shang Chao frowned slightly. That feeling returned: that there was something foreign in him, something E-Soul didn't see in him and didn't know. "But we are close. It's just... If there is no one who knows you, and no one whom you love, can you truly claim that you exist? And without that, all you're doing is living to die."

  E-Soul stared at him without blinking. It seemed to him that if he moved, if he sighed, something would explode.

  Erasing a person is easy. Erasing their name is much more complicated, as E-Soul learns way too late.
