Summary
Minato Arisato had no interest on going on a pokemon journey. He was perfectly aware he had lost his chance a long time ago and he was ok with that. He was content with just living his life with his only pokemon and sister at his side without a clear goal in sight.
(That's what he told himself at least)
Minako Arisato had always dreamed of going on a pokemon journey. Challenging the league and taking part in pokemom contests was all she had ever wished to do, even though she had lost her chance a long time ago. Even still she did her best to make do with the circumstances life had given her alongside her only pokemon and brother.
(Even if this was harder to do some days than others)
One day though everything changed. Thanks to signing up to a special program (against his will Minato would like to add) they were given a chance to do what was denied of them, go on a Pokemon journey.
Here's the story of said journey. Of the bonds, both old and new, they made. The adventures they lived. And the dark secrets they brought to light, and laid to rest.
After all, in this pokemon world. You're never quite sure what will happen next.

Fanfiction is strange.
It often meets the reader in medias res, assuming the upfront work of having consumed an existing professional work.
For the big fandoms ingrained into popular consciousness- Spider-Man, The Little Mermaid...- there's a reasonable assumption that most people already know the basics.
And Undertale has reached that level for a lot of people.But Deltarune is its own thing. Its own universe, characters we love just cameos in the background of a new rich story.
It's like
An AU fanfiction.I'd suggest you play Deltarune. That you give Toby Fox's second major video game production a try, especially if you liked Undertale.
But if you don't, I just hope you can get something out of this anyway. That it still says something to you through the confusion of learning a brand new strange world without context.
If you are drowning in the unknown, maybe you can drink some of the water on the way down, and maybe it'll even be sweet.

Summary
It is back in the box.
They don’t know why It keeps coming out of the box. Why It can’t just stay put when they want It to, and the thought is strong enough that they stumble their next song, a messy discordant note ringing out. From here they can’t hear Noelle and Susie. Can’t hear It, either. But they are sure It is somewhere near. They locked up the kitchen vent. So It can’t get out from there. But much as they wanted to when they were little they never were small enough to crawl around in the vents to find all the secret paths, and beside Aunt Carol always pulled them out whenever they tried to wriggle through. It got harder when they lost their lookout.
(Or: alone in the Holiday house waiting for the soul's next move, Kris reminiscences on their past, everything they have lost, and the few things they have left.)

Their hand reaching for Noelle’s. Shaking. Trying to plead run with every single part of them. They weren’t fast enough. Because then It was there and Its words were thorns stabbing their cheeks, Noelle was terrified, Noelle was freezing, please not her hurt me do anything to me leave her alone leave her alone, but they couldn’t even scream by then. Just begging. Rolling over to It. I’ll be good. I’ll be so good. Just please don’t hurt her.
