Summary
Learning everything about ejections is one of the first lessons in flight training. From day one, all cadets are made aware of the significant risks involved in ejecting from a fighter jet. Everyone knows that ejection is the last resort, the final option a pilot can turn to when their jet is no longer recoverable. Pulling the handles is the toughest and quickest decision a fighter pilot may have to make in their entire career. Once the handles are pulled, the body is subjected to about 25 Gs of force as the ejection seat catapults the pilot into the air, placing immense strain on the body.
Or: three times Maverick had to eject

Summary
“This is gonna be good,” Bradley snorted, pressing the accept button and holding the phone to his ear.
“Bradley!” came Mav’s voice immediately. “Ignore everything Ice told you.”
Put it on speaker, Jake mouthed, still leaning in close.
“He’s barely told me anything,” Bradley said, pulling the phone from his ear to press the speaker button and set it on the table. “You’re on speaker, by the way. Jake’s here.”
“Hey there, Hangman,” Mav said. “Bradley, Ice isn’t taking my very valid concerns seriously. You’re my only hope.”
“Just spit it out, Mav,” Bradley sighed.
“The house is haunted.”
OR: Mav thinks the house is haunted, Bradley's a skeptic, and Jake is there for...some reason.

Summary
" He existed in that strange in-between for a few weeks. Clothes purged from his father’s old wardrobe, hiding himself away in hopes that nobody would see the dark circles under his wet eyes. Mav and Ice tip-toed around him, trying to offer support but allow him the space to grieve. Until one day, he just snapped.
He looked in the mirror one morning, and the curls around his face were just too long. His face was too delicate, too feminine, and his hair made it worse. Fury bubbled in his gut and tears welled in his eyes as he locked gazes with his reflection, staring at a stranger in his mirror. He didn’t know his name, but looking in that mirror, he knew the girl staring back was not him. "
----------
aka, a misunderstanding occurs among the Daggers that leads most of them to believe that Mav and Bradley's tension is due to the fact that Bradley is trans. They couldn't be more wrong, and it leads Bradley to reminisce a little on his teen years when he wrestled with his own identity in silence.

Summary
Bradley opens his door to see a broken Jake Seresin on his porch looking worse than he’s ever seen him. Red eyes and messy hair, the beginnings of a bruise on his cheekbone, and a panicked look in his eyes.
Jake stumbles inside without an invitation and when he speaks his voice is shredded to hell.
“I need to tell you something Bradshaw.”
