Summary
Max always waited to go into the locker room until everyone else had already left and nobody dared question him about it. If Max didn't want to talk about something, it was in your best interest to just let sleeping dogs lay.
One day, after practice, Kyle realizes he left his water bottle in there by mistake. Against Jason's advice, he goes to get it. Of course he knows Max will be in there but as long as he doesn't get caught, it should be fine! Max wouldn't even notice he was in there. All he had to do was make sure to avoid him.
Unfortunately, things don't go as planned.
BUT fortunately, they do turn out in both of their favors in the end.
