The worn cotton wraps her in his scent—marks her like she’s his—and hangs on her like a dress, its hem riding up enough to expose just a hint of her upper thigh. Caleb’s fingers twitch against the sheets, itching to feel if her skin is as soft as midnight’s haze paints it. A makeshift wall (the hotel pillow he’d placed between them before wishing her sweet dreams) blocks his restless hands from finding out.
