OR: In a future where Pyrrhia and Pantala suffered large explosions across their lands, the dragons left, hoping against hope that maybe, they could find somewhere new to live.
And then they found Pangerria, and the Shadow Dragons, and the immense sense that something was wrong, wrong, wrong; but, I ask you this:
In a time of great desperation, to choose between a flaming, broken land or a twisted one, is there really a choice at all?

"I found my parents' documents," Grian replied, his eyes dim. "It's worse than we thought."
"Fae?"
"No."
"Arrgg, chinchilla? I don't actually think they adopt their traits late, but honestly, that would kind of cute-"
"Scar," Grian pleads, and Scar stops. "I'm an avian."
They look at each other for a moment, and Scar takes Grian's arm.
"Let's go."

A hut, in the rain, maybe he can go there. He hates the place, he really does, but there's nowhere else to go. Feet pounding on the ground, Joel grits his teeth and dashes up to the house, pounding on the door with a urgent franticness.
"Who is it?" Scott asks, opening it.
Joel glares at him and he's very aware of how much he looks like a wet puppy, there in the doorframe. But instead of dwelling on it, he jumps into the house and slams the door shut for Scott, falling limply onto the ground after that's done.

Etho arrives in Double Life with a haze in his head. No matter, it's not like it'll hurt him, his thoughts wrapped up in a blanket. He's gotten used to it at this point; days spent more often than not in a misty world, waving his hand through sheets of white that only he can see. It's just simply something he lives through, something in his life. It doesn't hinder his survival instincts but only his perception; it won't do him any long-term harm.
