Dream suddenly gripped the lapels of Hob's jacket with a startling fervor, arms stretched across the tabletop. His gaze bore into Hob's. "I beg, allow me to represent you instead."
"Now what kind of man would I be if I let others fight my battles?" Hob said, prying his fingers off before his endless grip tore through the fabric. "Hard as it may be to believe, I'm actually not a bad hand at chess. Don't worry about me."
"I do not find that hard to believe. However, as I have said, this is not chess. It is an intimate and punishing battle of minds."
"Alright, so it's like Go Fish."
Hob gets challenged to a duel. Too bad his opponent has it out for Dream, and has no intention of playing fair.

Summary
Geralt hesitates. He’s seen the kind of shit the law of surprise can conjure up for people. He really doesn’t want to risk it, but at the same time…he really needs the money. He sighs. “Fine. I will accept the law of surprise and return in a month.”
“Excellent. The reports should come in some time around--”
“My Lord!” From the front doors of the manor, a servant is running towards them looking panicked. “It’s Master Julian!” She stops as she reaches them, panting. It looks as though she’d run all the way here.
“What happened, Agnes?” The Earl demands. “Is my son alright?”
Agnes shakes her head. “He’s presented, my Lord. As an Omega. He’s going into pre-heat!”
The Earl’s head snaps in Geralt’s direction, his eyes wide, no doubt connecting the dots the same time that Geralt does.
“Fuck.”

Geralt looked at him differently, with an emotion in his amber eyes that Jaskier couldn’t quite decipher, but it looked like hunger. And Jaskier tried to signal to him that it was okay to act upon his desires (if they existed at all, of course), but all his attempts were futile. The tension, the lingering glances and touches remained, and Jaskier felt like tearing his own hair out every day.

All his frustrations oozed onto the piece of paper before him. That was the only way to truly let it all out, by making up an unabashedly horny song using his typical metaphors. It wasn’t as if anyone would ever hear it; this wasn’t the kind of song Jaskier would have ever played in front of a crowd. That was just for him, only he would know who the big bad wolf and the needy bunny of the lyrics were.
Well, Geralt would probably know, too, what with him living his life with the “white wolf” title plastered to him, and the fact he once fondly said that if Jaskier would be an animal, he would definitely be an over-energetic rabbit.
Lucky that Geralt would never find that song.
