His head, and most of his body, was leaning against the machine. House had come by and seen him standing there, eyes closed, his breathing even and deep. He had carefully woken him up, patted him on the head, and gently lead him to an on-call room. Chase had almost fallen into bed, and House had sat down next to him and slowly caressed his back, like he was a toddler who needed soothing."
