“There’s another Jayce coming today,” Viktor said. The empty Hexzone answered with silence. Jayce’s body didn’t move in his arms.
“You know, his timeline is exceedingly similar to ours. I… I hope I can help him. For once.”
No response.
Or: Jayce sleeps in the Hexzone. Viktor has all the time in the world to remember their life together and maybe help another version of themselves along the way.

“Do you want to write something?” his mother asked, leaning across the desk for a pen. She handed it to him, and Viktor uncapped it. After nervously debating where to start, he settled on writing ‘hello’ back, just underneath his soulmate’s. Was it too simple? Would his soulmate want to keep talking to him?
A smiley face appeared next to his reply. Viktor breathed a sigh of relief.
Or: the AU where anything written on your skin appears on your soulmate.

The hand lingered. It felt like it was burning a hole through his dress shirt.
“Do you touch everyone like this?” Viktor said before his brain could catch up with his mouth.
“What?” Jayce said, confused.
Shit.
Or: Jayce's love language is physical touch. At first, Viktor has to train himself to accept what Jayce offers, but soon they become equally addicted to each other.

“No, I can do it,” Jayce insisted, placing a hand on Viktor’s back to keep him in his seat. “You’re busy, and I know you love the stuff. Why don’t you teach me how to make it? That way, you can keep working and I can make myself useful.”
“By bringing me sweetmilk?” Viktor chuckled.
“Well, yeah, that’s the whole idea I was getting at,” Jayce said, squeezing Viktor’s shoulder.
Or: Through trial and error, Jayce learns how to make the perfect cup of sweetmilk for Viktor. It shouldn't have been as hard as it was.
