Five months out from Armistice, Arthur wasn't really expecting the call anymore. Tom 'd probably just taken himself away quietly, alone, like he'd planned all along.
Then the phone rang, and he went running. Always would.Tom thought maybe he could stop. Maybe because she asked him, he could stop and it'd be better, he would be better; he'd be good.

Their words strike fear into the heart of one with an ear for corvids; Regis intervenes, and fights for the life of his brother in all but blood. He fights for Geralt's life even if the witcher doesn't see the point of the exercise.

Summary
After the events of season 2, Bennet Drake goes missing yet again. As the weeks pass without sign of him, Edmund Reid begins to regret how he treated him. He begins to fear his grief might manifest in self-destruction again and he might wrest himself from the surface of the world before Reid can beg forgiveness, so... he starts looking for him. When he finds Drake, he finds all his worst fears confirmed.
It's all he can do to aid him in the fight against his demons.

Summary
Ever since I saw the film, my mind has been busy engineering a universe in which Gustave did get shot but failed to die. The actual action of getting shot is not featured because the film itself never quite explained why Zero and Agatha escaped relatively unscathed when it was originally Zero they were after, so... this is all that follows. It starts with the proverbial life flashing before dying eyes, and from there it meanders through philosophical observations, hopeless despair and offensive lorry driving.

Summary
From the description of "The First Variation": The events of Horatio Hornblower's court-martial at Kingston are a web of delicate possibilities. The slightest shift in that web, and the trajectory of all the later events changes radically, for better or worse.
A series of connected stories exploring all the different ways that the court-martial (or, in book canon, board of inquiry) in Kingston could have gone. They are not all in the same universe, though some of them will be. Most of them are a blend of book and movie elements.
Note that these were not written in chronological order, so please excuse any inconsistencies.
